Fall Break- Tuscon Arizona

View from Mount Lemon
This year for Fall Break we chose not to go to Utah since we are going there for Thanksgiving.
When we found a great Groupon for a hotel suite in Tuscon, AZ, we decided to take a short trip and check it out.
We enjoyed our beautiful hotel by swimming, relaxing in the shade, and watching the Disney channel.
We visited the photography and art museum at the Univeristy of Arizona.
We explored Colassal Cave and felt like we were in a spooky movie.
We drove up Mount Lemon to find cooler weather and a few Fall leaves.
It was only a 45 minute trip to the top of the mountain, and it was amazing the difference in temp for such a short drive.
I was enjoying our trip, but I was a little sad we didn't go to Utah.
I was missing my Fall Fix.
However, when I spotted some aspen trees, my saddened heart was filled with joy.
We enjoyed a lovely afternoon among the shaded pine trees.
We saw squirrels, birds, and even a ground mouse.
It was a lovely afternoon and a nice break from the heat.
It was definitely my favorite part of the trip.
We drove home, with just enough time for the boys to invite friends over and have a late night of video games and pizza to end their much anticipated Fall Break.
It was a great week!
Colassal Cave

Yes it is super sunny in AZ!

When is that ground mouse going to come out again?
Oh there it (ground mouse) is!

Among the sticks.  Nature- Joshua's second home.

Beautiful girl in a Beautiful place.
And yes!  We ate lots of sugar on our trip!!!!
