I love you

I get so excited when my kids get home from school.  It's my favorite part of the day.

Today.
Joshua's bus drives up and stops in front of our house.
I'm standing in the doorway waving to him.
He's looking out, right at me, but doesn't see me.
Mind must be somewhere else.
He stands up, still looking out the window.
Recognition.
Big smile on his face.
Big smile on my face.
He runs to me with open arms like he does everyday.  I love that ritual!
I hug him.
"Hey buddy."
He won't let go.
It's not a "squishy" hug for sensory input.
It's not a quick ritual hug.
It's a long hug.
A real hug.
I love how it feels.
I say nothing.
He says-
"I love you."
Tears come to my eyes.
No ritual, just "I love you."
Spontaneously or well thought out-it doesn't matter.
A joyful moment was created.

I know I'm writing a lot about Joshua lately, but what is happening with this boy?!  It's miraculous.  Maybe Heavenly Father is trying to show me that we really are here at this lovely Gilbert, AZ  for a reason.  All of my prayers haven't been answered yet.  Sometimes I lose hope and become prideful.  I'm learning I'm not a very patient person, but I'm trying.   Yet some of my prayers are being answered in ways I never thought would be possible. Always hopeful, yet willing to accept whatever comes our way.  I've been greatly blessed!
