I can't believe this boy is 8.
I'm still a bit in denial, but what can I do.
He's growing up.
October 17th was the big day.
Joshua doesn't get why we celebrate birthdays.
It took him the whole day to get use to it.
The first few happy birthday wishers were screamed at.
Luckily we have late church and after being use to the idea a little more, he let the children sing to him while he looked up at the ceiling.
Me- "Josh were you scared to stand in front of everyone or being shy?"
Joshua_"I was being shy."
He was delighted to get the DVDs Madagascar, Toy Story, and Toy Story2.
Apparently our singing wasn't very good.
He had a picture of Jack the pumpkin man from The Nightmare Before Christmas on his brownies.
He loves that movie.
He loves Halloween, I'm pretty sure more than his birthday.
He loves that people put up Halloween lights, like Christmas lights around here.
Joshua has changed so much this year and I am so excited to see what changes he goes through during the next year.
We love that he talks more.
It is so fun and helpful, to understand more about what he thinks about things.
"Why" is his favorite new word.
He still is super smiley and is always making us laugh.
He is a hard worker and wants to do every thing just right.
He never complains about taking the garbage out.
He is concerned about everyone and their whereabouts.
He has started to stand up for himself-"Don't ignore me."
I could go on and on.
He's a super duper 8 year old.
We are even venturing off into cub scouts. Wish us luck (or I should say, wish me luck).
