March 2014

The highlight of our month was the celebration and dedication of the Gilbert Temple!
It is the most beautiful temple and has become my home away from home.  I could just sit in there for hours.  It is like a castle with its grand staircase, stain glassed windows, and the beautiful agave plant and flower everywhere.  This temple holds a special place in our hearts.

Summer, Taylor, and Jacob had the wonderful experience in joining 12,000 other youth in a cultural celebration to celebrate the building of the Gilbert Temple.  It was cheesy, hot, tiring, and too many practices, BUT it was worth every moment the night they were able to be in the presence of and sing for President Monson.  All of their testimonies grew from that one night.  All of  it was worth it.  And with all of the rain, it just added more the the memorable experience. It never rains in March.  And it never rains for 1 1/2 hours straight. Summer was in heaven!  She has been missing Seattle and loved the rain. I was so proud of my kidos and the Spirit was so strong.

Got a surprise visit from Gma and Gpa Maxfield.  Had to take them to our new favorite place in Gilbert.  Lots of wonderful conversation and we just loved spending time together and they loved the sunshine and company.

"I Love to See the Temple"
Another AWESOME Spring Break here in Gilbert!!! Hiking the Wind Caves, going to the temple, lots of TENNIS, sleeping in, working at the warehouse, walks, park, yummy treats, and our new fav movie "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty".

And a day at the "Rennisance Festival". Totally Jacob's idea!  The kidos especially loved spending some extra time with dad since he works most weekends.  It was a SUPER FUN and SUPER RELAXING week!!!

"FROZEN"
Summer was the hit of the ward talent show as the princess Elsa.  Everyone is in love with the movie "Frozen".  We had one major sing along going on.

As always Kate, and her best buds Avery, and Macy had their own thing going on.  They performed "Disney Princess Parody".  Not your typical princess song, but these girls are not your typical princesses.   They are the dancing, singing, sweet, get dirty, crazy dressing, and not afraid to speak their minds kind of princesses.  It was adorable!
I have to say my 39th birthday totally rocked this year!  It was the most relaxing day that I have had all year.  I took 2 naps that day, park with Josh, and movies with Andy.  Then that weekend I got to cash in on one of my Christmas gifts- a date with Andy to see "Oklahoma"  at Hale Centre Theatre.  I was smiling the whole time and singing the whole next day.  It was a great night with my favorite guy/person on the planet.  The whole week I was on cloud 9!
