It's Official- Summer is a TEENAGER!

Summer just had her 13th birthday!
How do birthday's keep coming up so fast?!
It feels like they are happening more than once a year.
Summer had to go to school on her birthday so we had a low key celebration of orange chicken, scones for dessert, and presents all of which included fun boardgames.

On Saturday Summer celebrated her birthday with her friends by having a Tea Party at Grandma Cardon's house. 

The girls had fun with all of their dainty food and fancy dishes.  Summer being the super sweet sister that she is, even invited her little sister Kate to join the party.

The girls were all dressed to the nines and enjoyed good food, good conversation, and fun games.

It was by far the easiest birthday party I have ever put on.

I love that Summer has such great friends and that they all had such a fun time.

On Sunday we all got together as Cardons and celebrated Summer's 13th birthday and Peyton's 9th birthday.

The boys complained that they didn't think it was fair that Summer got to celebrate her birthday 3 times.

Maybe when they turn 13 they can have 3 parties too.

Summer just keeps getting more and more amazing.

She has been such a fun child and I know will be just as fun as a teenager.

Summer's calmness helps me to keep perspective of what is really important.

She reminds me not to sweat the small stuff.

Like all my children, she teaches me so much everyday and I feel grateful and blessed to be a part of her life!
